My Approach.

Core Principles

As a qualified counsellor in Plymouth, I embrace principles such as empathy and unconditional positive regard. Rather than providing you with the answers, I am here to help you navigate your feelings and thoughts. Together, we will explore your unique path through life's complexities.

Confidentiality

Your trust is vital to our working relationship. I maintain strict confidentiality, ensuring that what you share with me remains private. Confidentiality is paramount, within ethical limits which I will explain. This allows for open and honest conversations without fear of judgement.

What is Counselling?

Bereavement

I specialise in bereavement support, helping individuals cope with loss, miscarriage, and infant loss. It's crucial to have a compassionate ear during these challenging times.

Consultations.

To ensure we can work together effectively, I provide a 30-minute free initial consultation. This session allows us to explore your needs and determine the best way forward. With some basic information we get a good starting point and I can signpost you to other professionals if necessary. I do not share any information without your permission unless there is a safeguarding issue.

Following the initial consultation, sessions are £50 for a 60-minute duration. The number of sessions required varies according to individual requirements, and I will adjust my approach based on your feedback.

You can choose to meet in the comfort of your own home, or we can conduct consultations via telephone or online, making it convenient to start your journey towards improved wellbeing.
